ODA Releases BIM SDK 2019.2First steps toward full parametric element creationScottsdale, AZ: January 14th, 2019 – Open Design Alliance (ODA), the leading provider of CAD interoperability and component technology, announced today the release of BIM SDK 2019.2. BIM SDK is the leading stand-alone toolkit for interoperability with Autodesk® Revit® files.
“With version 2019.2, basic parametric walls can be created from any application,” commented Neil Peterson, ODA President. “It’s an important milestone towards our goal of providing creation support for the full set of Revit parametric elements later this year.”
Sergey Vishnevetsky, ODA Development Director, said, “Version 2019.2 also offers better performance for calculated properties such as area, improved support for built-in parameters, and parameter support for stairs, element groups, and other element types.
“With each new release of BIM SDK, we are providing better performance and a more comprehensive feature set. And with that we are seeing a corresponding rise in licensees, as the technology becomes mature enough for increasingly complex applications.”
BIM SDK 2019.2 also contains an initial implementation of family import functionality, as well as fixes for member-reported issues. The SDK and full release notes are available for download at www.opendesign.com.
