First successful implementation of PLM in the Russian railway industry

SAINT-PETERSBURG, July 2. 'Vagonmash' CJSC implemented the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) concept. A large-scale engineering data management system has been implemented and integrated with the enterprise resource planning system (ERP). The project, which, without exaggeration, could be called the first successful implementation of PLM in the national railway industry and one of the best full-scale projects in the Russian machine building, was implemented in collaboration with ASCON Group of companies.
