ODA Releases Web SDK 2020

Add markup data to CAD and BIM models in the cloud

Scottsdale, AZ: July 15th, 2019—Open Design Alliance (ODA), leading provider of CAD interoperability and component technology, announced today the release of Web SDK 2020, its toolkit for web application development. Web SDK provides visualization of 3D engineering data, as well as tools for editing, markup, data access, server-side processing and more.

“Web SDK 2020 can now add markup to a model and can save and restore marked up views,” commented Neil Peterson, ODA President. “All formats supported by ODA, including .dwg, .dgn, Autodesk® Revit® files, IFC, and more, can be handled in a single application with a unified workflow.”

“We’re seeing significant demand for a universal web viewer for CAD, and especially for BIM. Web SDK can be integrated into any web-based application—it’s stand-alone technology, not dependent on third-party services. That makes it more flexible, more reliable, and less expensive than third-party SaaS solutions.”

Sergey Vishnevetsky, ODA Development Director, said, “Web SDK 2020 also includes real-time cutting planes inherited from our Visualize SDK, improved handling of font files referenced by models, and a number of additional enhancements.”

Web SDK is available for download by ODA members at www.opendesign.com. A free 60-day trial version is available.
