Rosatom, NIAEP ASE, NEOLANT: Invitation to the 59th Session of the IAEA General Conference

ÐîñÀòîì ëîãî ÀÑÝ-ÀÑÅ ëîãî ÍÅÎËÀÍÒ ëîãî
The 59th Session of the IAEA General Conference, the key annual event for global nuclear community, is set for 14 to 18 September 2015 at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna, Austria. Ministerial authorized representatives and high-ranking officials of nuclear organizations will attend the event to consider a range of issues relating peaceful use of atomic energy and exchange scientific-technical information and best practices.

This year in the margins of the General Conference Russian Federation is holding a special Exhibition devoted to the NPP Life Cycle Management (LCM) .

For the last 15 years LCM technologies have been implemented and used at all facility life cycle stages in the Russian Federation under the projects of new NPPs construction, as well as operation of the existing NPPs and preparation for decommissioning of shutdown NPPs.

We invite you and your counterparts to participate in the following IAEA General Conference side events:

  • Exhibition At The Russian Lounge «NPP: Future Engineering Is Today!» September, 14-16, 09:00 – 18:00, Austria Center Vienna (ACV), 3rd floor, Room 3.31

    The attendees will become aware of innovative approach to NPP management throughout its whole life cycle in details and obtain expert answers to their questions. Using virtual reality headsets, the visitors will be able to make a tour to a NPP and see with their own eyes Russian best practices in the field of LCM.

    The virtual tours will start every 30 minutes for groups of maximum 10 persons. Coffee break will be served while you wait for your tour group.

    It will be possible to make a registration for a tour at the Russian Lounge entrance or at the Russian Federation booth in the Rotunda. There is also a possibility to make an advance registration for a tour on September 15, 16 through the following phone number: + 7 915 273 73 88 (Contact person: Olga).

    The ACV visit is free for all attendees including those who are not members of a country official delegation.

  • Briefing «Russian Technologies for Nuclear Power Plant Life Cycle Management» September, 15, 16:30 – 18:00, Vienna International Centre (VIC), 7th floor, C building, Room C4

    The Briefing will announce the opening of the Russian Exhibition «NPP: Future Engineering Is Today». Participants will be informed of how the LCM technologies can increase the effectiveness of NPP construction, safety operation and decommissioning. After the Briefing, participants are invited to the gala reception, which will take place nearby the Russian Lounge (ACV, Room 3.31).

Please note that the VIC visitors are required to be authorized representatives of IAEA General Conference Member-States. To become the General Conference participant you should contact a specifically designated authority of your country (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a rule) and submit an application for official delegation participants. The registration is open until September 8.
