April 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The Sukhoi Superjet 100 automatic system of research and development control designed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft was announced the best IT project of 2007 in a corporate IT contest held by the Adam Smith Institute and the Intelligence Enterprise journal, says a Sukhoi report received by Interfax-AVN on Thursday. This is the first system of the kind developed in Russia, Sukhoi said.
"Sukhoi Civil Aircraft was not the only victorious component of the holding. The Gagarin Aviation Plant based in Komsomolsk-on-Amur won medals at the 8th International Innovation and Investment Show in Moscow and the 13th International Congress of High Technologies, Innovations and Investments in St. Petersburg. Gold medals were awarded to a vacuum film producer and an electrode instrument, while silver medals were awarded to a method of assembling the interior of the Sukhoi Su-80 civilian aircraft, the Be-103 amphibious plane and the SA-20P amphibious plane," the company said.
The RNAAPO plant also received a diploma for its instrument making ceramic
forms.
