On 22 June, 2005, in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok, there was held a Siberian regional seminar of Dassault Systemes. The seminar was working in the "House of Scientists", the same days with two international IT-conferences, one of them - GraphiCon'2005 included CAD and some other sections related to the PLM domain. 
The DS-seminar stimulated a large regional interest, submissions were registered from more than 100 organizations. Among the participants there are representatives from practically all big Novosibirsk enterprises, as well as from enterprises of Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, and Tomsk, from Siberian offices of Intel, Hewlett-Packard, and Sun Microsystems, from CAD companies, from educational and research institutes, design office, and others. 
The key objective of the Seminar - to promote knowledge about PLM as an inevitable solution for competitive business and about Dassault Systemes as a leading provider of such solutions. This objective was in particular supported by a press conference and publications in popular newspapers. 
After an introductory greeting from LEDAS as a co-organizer of the seminar, the event was opened by Maria Ivanova - a leading manager of Dassault Russia Corp. 
In the morning session, Francis Bernard, the founder of DS and the President of the recently established DS Russia Corp., made two presentations: "DS is ready to collaborate with Siberian industry" and "PLM: see, visualize, and implement what you mean". 
Vladimir Malukh, the CEO of ProPro Ltd., was making an excellent professional translation of the presentations, press conference, and meetings of Francis Bernard and Jean-Francois Maiziere with some delegations from enterprises. 
Jean-Francois Maiziere made a presentation "PLM - a revolution in collaborative design and production" 
In the afternoon session, people from a technical department of DS Russia, headed by Alexander Lyagushkin, made a series of presentations "PLM in action: Examples of typical PLM business processes of an industrial enterprise. CATIA and SMARTEAM"
There were a lot of meetings during coffee break, a lunch, and a special time in the afternoon.
